Search Engine/IT Journals?

Hi

I am about to do a study with the following title:

An investigation comparing the accessibility of W3C (Worldwide Web Consortium) technology and the Proprietary Technology, Adobe Flash, to create online teaching material for clinical decision-making.

I am looking for any published/unpublished articles to use as references for my paper.

Does anyone know of any online search engines (such the medical search medline) which allows you to search articles? What are the main IT journals which may have websites which are searchable for articles?

Thanks in advance.

And you would want something that would be credible for an academic paper, is that right? Are you looking for more accessibility stuff or SE stuff? In what context are you using the term "accessibility"? Do you mean for people with disabilities or all users or what? I know a lot of people in the accessibility (disability) field have more or less rejected Flash completely and don't talk about it much.

Academic journals aren't really big in this field. Actually, most practicing professionals would probably reject academic research as being irrelevant. I know of some through my work with a University, mostly related to teaching with technology. You could try the Educause site - they are pretty big in teaching with technology.

You could also try Jakob Nielsen's site - he has an old article called "Flash = 99% Bad" that might be good. The stuff on his site isn't that academic-ish but he does do a lot of actual usability research and bases his writings on that.
