Running IE 6 as a standalone?
We've talked about running 7 as a standalone, but is it possible to do that with 6?? The upgrade got installed on my work computer last night (don't know how, because I always check my upgrades before installing them. Grrrr..) So now I need to be able to test in 6. I could get an old laptop up here but I'd rather be able to do it on the same machine.
I also noticed that I've already got a security update to install!

Quick answer:
Get it here - http://browsers.evolt.org/?ie/32bit/standalone (it's the last one on that list, ie6eolas_nt.zip)
I did find a few things about possible problems with running it in stand-alone mode, but I guess it's better than nothing. Stupid Microsoft

Microsoft says to run it through PC virtualization, which they have provided a package for:

Should I do that instead??

Update: I'm running the stand-alone version I linked in my second post now. It seems to be working fine. I had read some things about it possibly not behaving exactly the same as IE 6 would, but I haven't noticed any problems yet.
