Referrering URL- A question possibly never asked before
Is there a way, to change the referrer of a website? Hypotheitcally speaking, if I wanted to have a page of links on website XYZ.com, could I add a tag to the code, to make it look like the the link came from EFG.com instead? Just curious because I would like to track some specific traffic from some of my vendors, who would be willing to change their HTML. Probably didn't explain this very well, but I can explain further if needed.

Well, it is possible, you just have to use a non-standard web client, since the referrer information is sent via the browser. I track referrals to my site, and I see tons of spoofed URLs, because the sites don't really exist, they are just forwards to another page (usually pornographic)
The only other possibility is if you had the links go to a php script which then spoofed the header, and altered things like the referer, but I am not even 100% sure how to do that, good luck though.
