What do you think of this email someone got?

Quote: Hello,

I got your email address from your site by Google search, while being interested in Adsense. At present you have 12 Adsense advertisements on your site. I have an offer for you. Which is that I am capable of giving you 1000+ different traffic to your site per day - and all of them would click on all the Adsense advertisements. For all these clicks you would be able to earn a good amount per day. My offer is that I would give you that 1000+ different traffic to your site in exchange of 50% of earnings of their total clicks. If you are interested, please let me know.

Thanking you

Of course, Google won't send any money if they find out about this. I would forward the email to Google.

The internet has sponed into a few groups. There are people like you and I who use forums like this and communicate and form a small comunity trying to improve our sites via hard work. And then there are people who try to make a quick buck. The quick buck people are the ones that pollute search engines and bring down our search results because they practically buy their pageranks. The internet is a good place on the surface, but the fraud and so forth is discusting.

Dodgy, report the blighters... Apart from the sponed bit I agree with you Assassin, although most of us can spot the spam a mile away and there is no way of stopping it (apart from filters etc) because doing so would place restrictions upon the way the web works and that is completely against the philosophy of the whole thing IMO.

So spammers are annoying, but the chaos of the web gives them as much credence as the rest of us so we just have to learn to ignore/filter them. Smiling

I believe myself to be 99.99% white hat when it comes to Adsense, and I hate it when I learn about people manipulating a system that is so helpful to businesses small and large.

I don't get if they can send you that much traffic for hits, why wouldn't they use the traffic for themselves and keep 100% of adsense profit. Sounds like they will use something against Google guidelines to do it such as a bot or fradulent clicks. I wouldn't trust them either.
