Quicktime?
I'm wanting to put a reasonably large audio file on my site (it's about 22 minutes of someone speaking) and am trying to figure out the best way to do this. I am very keen to avoid using the Real format given that so many people (including myself) have concerns about the way Real goes about things and refuse to download any Real files. So am having a look at Quicktime.
This is my first go at doing my own audio stuff, so I'm feeling a bit lost! I assume I will need to convert my wav or MP3 (I have both formats) into Quicktime's audio format ... do I need Quicktime Pro to do this? I've had a look at the online information about Quicktime but it seems to pretty much exclusively talk about movies rather than audio ... Any other clues would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

http://www.apple.com/quicktime/products/qt/specifications.html has all the file formats that can go into Quicktime.
Just read the same information about movies for audio -- it's most commonly used for movies, but it can do audio only.
Alternatively, if you have mp3 format already, why not do just regular streaming with m3u?

Hmmm ... I've faffed about and have now embedded Windows Media Player to stream the MP3. This is working just fine, however, in Netscape (4.7, 6.2 and 7) my autostart="false" seems to just be ignored - the file plays when the page loads. Am I missing something really obvious? Relevant code is as follows:
