How might I go about making a site that I can access from my cell phone to download wallpapers and ringtones... I'm trying to avoid paying for them from other sites, and I figured I could make my own for free and access it for free... I've seen the term "WAP Site"... Can anyone help me out?

If you use standards you can access anything from your cellphone.

Make a site, using standards. Upload files to that site. Link them from that site. Surf to that site with your phone, download the wallpapers and ringtones into your phone.

Ok, two questions... What are standards? And how do you download to your phone? All of the sites I've seen give you some id number or something like that... Forgive my ignorance, I'm actually new to the cell phone thing as I've always had a phobia for talking on the phone, strange as that is...

Have you tried browsing with your phone yet?

lol... Not really... It's one of those fancy Nokia 6800 deallies... It's a bit complex for a beginner to cell phones... Working on it now though... Thanks for the help, by the way. Appreciated.

So, if I'm getting this right, I can just bust out a page in Dreamweaver and it will be good to go on my cell?

Hypothetically, yes.

But you'll find if you don't use standards you'll get some very curious results. Ditto if you use tables.

I haven't looked into this area in depth. I have two sites that are coded to spec and validate 100%, yet I can't view them on my phone. I have to use Google to view them. Someone told me it had to do with the fact my phone has WAP1.2, which is older. I'm not sure...
