Hi,

I'm running various websites with a colleague and as long as these are growing we would like to organize the pending tasks, bugs, tracking, ... I've seen several tools targeted for large sites.

Could you please recommend us a simple tool to track everything for various simple sites?

Thanks

For versatility and bug tracking I'd use: Trac. It's not that easy to setup unless you know Apache well. For simplicity I'd use: Basecamp, can't get much easier than no setup. What's not good about Basecamp is that it's hosted, so all that private data of yours is under someone elses control. How much do you trust the US government to not go poking around in your data too, that's a consideration (honestly, it's happened before, am not trying to be argumentative here Smiling ).

Also Basecamp has no facility for bug tracking, you could either use some other bug tracker or just use to-do lists. You might not need to manage bugs that closely.

Thanks for your reply JeevesBond.

I have reviewed the Basecamp tour and seems a great tool. Basically we need to track pending action items and assign them. Bugs can also be considered tasks. Privacy is not really a concern as long as we develop personal non-profit projects, just for fun and to share information with others.

I'm also considering php-collab, dotproject and egroupware. Any advice?
