Preloader
I need a preloader for the index page of my site. The page is taking to long to load and I do not want the people to give up and leave. Please help me and let me know where and how I can do this. I really appreciate any help I can get. If you need to see what I am talking about the site is http://www.vickileeshow.com

Here are some sites with tutorials for creating a preloader at the beginning of your flash timeline. I haven't looked at them in a while so you may need to just go through them to find one you can easily follow.

What exactly do you want it to do while the rest is loading?

[Mod Note]I merged the threads as it's the same question/topic[/End Note]
I personally think loosing some of the animations would help a lot, the title logo for example is 30.7kb, then you have animated guest book, email, music note and banners at the bottom, plus the flash which just repeats, maybe add a "play again" button.
Considering you have all this happening it didn't take to long to load on 56k as one would think.

Javascript worked for me for something like that...check hotscripts.com or resourceindex.com, maybe even dynamicdrive.com
