Pop under Flashing
Hey guys, I'm trying to implement a pop under script. I've tried different scripts that I've found on the web with different methods but I always get a flashing of the pop under. When you load the page you can see the popunder for 1 or 2 seconds and then it hides under the main page. Is there a way to solve that so that you don't see the pop under flashing?
Hope someone can help me with this, tried it on my own and couldn't figure it out.
I'd appreciate your help.
Thanks
TITUS

Welcome to TWF
I don't have a solution to your problem but can I just ask why you want to do this at all? Pop-ups or unders are very annoying and serve no real purpose other than to annoy surfers!

Well, we have right now a pop up, it only shows one time every month, for repeat users. All the services that we provide are free and the pop up (that we want to change to a pop under) has given us a great reponse for our free newsletter signup.
I know pop ups are annoying but if they are limited I think they are OK.
However the flashing problem with the pop under makes us not want to switch from a pop up to a pop under.
Thanks,
C

Hi,
I'm afraid this is just the way pop unders work, since they open a new window then send it to the back. I dont think its possible to open a new window straight at the back.

As Andy said, it's the nature of opening a new window in that way.
Instead of popups and popunders, if it's required to do this, why not have a section on the home page that is dedicated to the ad? Then you can show it contextually (just like with the popup or popunder) for specific members.
If you need to have a popup/under to get subscriptions, your marketing methods are inadequate.
