PHPbb Data to Vbulletin? is it posible?
Hi, i wasent quite shure where i should post this, so i apologise if it is in the wrong section of the forum.
I currently have phpbb as my forum See Here, and would like Vbulletin but can't at the moment as it is a bit costly, So my plan is to possibly convert to it at a later stage if my website and forum gets populer enough.
What i am wondering is What can i do about the people and posts that are on my phpbb board if and when i change to Vbulletin? Is there any way to transfer all the data over? such as the posts, topics and registered members?
Thanks

You should have no problem importing your phpBB into vBulletin.
Before your forum gets a lot of traffic you may also want to consider SMF. (Simple Machines Forum)
It's free and it is far more secure and easier to administer than phpBB.

Have done it a few times. Not only is it possible, but it is incredibly quick and easy to do. I was pretty impressed.
Also really impressed by how much of a step-up vbulletin is from phpbb. Not knocking phpbb as it served me well for a long time on a lot of project. VB definitely makes the job of the mods easier.
