Can anyone recommend a decent open-licence alternative to Contribute?

On many occassions people have asked me to develope a website for them, but want to be able to easily update the content of certain pages within in (e.g. latest news, add/remove images and descriptions of items for sale etc). A simple on-line log-in, with the ability to cut/paste text and upload images to certain predefined sections is what is requested.

I have had a quick look at many of the CMS systems around (Joomla, Drupal, PHPNuke, e107 etc), but these tend to be whole portals/websites, rather than just the simple CMS I need.

Any ideas?

The best solution is almost certainly to just have a database and a few password protected forms. My day job is developing systems like this. Some are massively complex, but the basics are really easy to set-up. The biggest advantage is that each system fits the application perfectly and can be changed as the needs of the application change. I generally find it's faster than customising a pre-made CMS as well.
