i'm basically a bit of a noob as far as anything code-related is concerned mate so bear with me Laughing out loud

What i'd like it to be able to do is for the client to actually use a log-in page, then add a new article to it and that will appear on the site on a 'Newsletter' page.

Paying for a script is fine as it's a fairly big project and they will not mind.

Have you tried searching http://hotscripts.com yet? I'm sure they have something. I don't have any recommendations, as I prefer the SQL method...Smiling

yeah i wanna use mysql of course but i wanna test it first and my hosting doesnt have that function sadly. although i guess i could ask for a folder on their server and test it out there.

Looked through hotscripts briefly last night but didnt take much notice of the sql ones lol.

go to somewhere like firepages.com.au and download the php/mysql/apache bundle and run it on your PC (works offline) that way you can test as much as you want without upsetting the server or anyone else. Best of all it's free and works on windows but is same as your host, just try get the same php/mysql version your host has.

Sorry I didn't see this thread earlier but I recommend CuteNews from cutephp.com . Easy to install, easy use, no databases to mess with. I use it on several sites of mine and have never ever had any problems (other than comment spam, but that's not the script's fault).
