Need info: Groopz & Livehelper
Groopz has been recommended to me for live web-based customer service. I'm also looking at Livehelper. Does anyone have experience with either of these? Do either of these contain spyware? I know HumanClick does, which is why it's not in the running.
TIA

I did some research for you and had these two conversations. Livehelper seems to be a very simple system. Groopz is more advanced.
Luke did not offer much information but Groopz was more informative.
Groopz stated that they use webtrends data on the server to pull webtrends data only, any other information is gathered voluntarily and placed in a database.
Luke from support is here!
Luke : Welcome to Livehelper. My name is Luke. May I offer you some assistance?
You : Hi Luke, I have a question about the service
Luke : please let me know the question?
You : While reading a post about HumanClick having spyware, I wondered if Livehelper did also?
You : sorry for the delay, couldnt remember humanclicks name
Luke : ok.
Luke : we would be releasing our new version 3.0 .Which consist of 3 packages Basic package, Pro package and Corporate package.
You : This I suppose was the answer to point out that certain versions do have spyware? Basic, having it, Corporate not having it?
You : Or are you saying that version 3 has spyware, and the previous doesnt?
Luke : You mean the tracker code .
You : Right
You : Spyware, embeded into a system to colate data from and to other sources for analysis, and/or marketing
Luke : yes we have that feature in the current version..
Luke : and even it is included in all the three packages.
You : Ok, I appreciate your honesty. It is quite possible that all services have this so I am not leaving this feeling like LiveHelper is an enemy. Thank Yo
You : u
Luke : A button is what your customer will click to contact your company representatives.
You : I understand
Luke : A tracker is used to see who is on your site and where they are through the Client Browse list.
You : Ok, but that is not what I meant
You : Spyware for livehelpers marketing purposes.
Luke : Sorry that feature is not there in livehelper.
You : Ok, thank you for your time Luke. If it is ok with you I will report that this service does not contain spyware. Only to track for services that are
You : obvious
Luke : ok.
Luke : Do you have any more questions about Livehelper that I may be able to help you with today?
You : No, you have been more than helpful. Thank you again.

this is a spyware list I had bookmarked (and forgot about), it lists a lot, maybe it can be helpful.
