Moving tables and layers in Dreamweaver 4.0
Hi there,
How do you move all layers and/or tables in Dreamweaver 4.0 at the same time and maintain their relative position?
Thanks,
Tony Montana

I use Dreamweaver (don't use layers though as they are highly incompatible with many borwser issues) but you've lost me as to what exactly you are trying to do???

Okay, you can't randomly move tables wherever you want - that's just how HTML works. You can change the alignment on them, or put in spacer.gif's or something to push them over a bit but you can't put them just anywhere.
It doesn't seem like you can pick up more than one layer at a time either - you're going to have to do those individually. Maybe you should write to Macromedia and ask them to include this ability in their next release.
Wait wait! I figured it out. Click to select the first layer, hold down shift, and click on the second layer to select that too. Then grab the box thing in the top left corner of the layer of the last one you selected (it'll have black bounding boxes instead of whtie) and drag and drop to wherever you want!

Cool, I'll try that later Megan. Webmistress, I want to move all elements on the page over, and I want to keep their relative position to each other. After I do this, I will convert back to tables so Nutscrape can view the page correctly. .
