more on dingbats...
I could have sworn I'd posted this in kirun's thread but nothing is there so I'll start a new one. Perhaps I forgot to hit submit?
Megan, thanks for recommending dingbatpages.com. I found a font perfect for a new project I'm starting. Unfortunately, Adobe doesn't like the font - all I get are boxes. Works in other apps but not Adobe.
It is the "Athletes" font at:

Does anyone have this font functioning or feel up to trying it?

Some fonts are only lower case, or only upper case, or even only numbers and symbols, try them
becareful as font collecting can become addictive

Aye, I realize this. The font works in other text-based apps such as Word or Pagemaker, just not Photoshop or ImageStyler
The weird thing is that the FAQ at the dingbats site says that he made his display panels in Photoshop. I even tried travking down another copy of the font and reinstalled on the outside chance that the file was bad. Still no go.
The longer I can't use this font the more I want to!!!

Hi taff,
You're right. I downloaded it and it doesn't work on PS(6). Tried it in Wordpad, Word, Paint and FireWorks and it works perfectly. Best solution I can give is to create the parts you're looking for in some other application and import it into PS.
Looks like a PS specific bug.
It is also possible that the file you (and I) got are damaged and the second file you downloaded is indeed another copy of the damaged file.
What version of PS are you using? I think that whoever made it work on PS is using a different version.

Thanks for trying it out! Now at least I know it's not just me
I'm using PS5 and ImageStyler. Oddly enough, with IS, the font does appear in the text window, just not onto the canvas.
Perhaps I'll hunt around for another copy. I'd really like to use this.
I guess I could always grab the Fireworks demo...
