Just in case I am not making myself clear all I need is someway for members to type in a password and then be taken to a page not otherwisw available.Anyway of acieving this would be much appreciated.

It's nothing complicated. There are many ways to do it, but the best solution depends on your setup.
What type of hosting server do you use (NT or *nix)?
Which webserver (IIS, Apache, Zeus etc)?
What technology do you have available? (PHP? Perl? ASP)?
