Mailing List recommendations?

First off, howdy all! I've been pretty invisible over this particularly slow summer Sad

I'm preparing a design quote for a client and one feature they want implemented is an online mailing list - something I've yet to get into. I was curious as to how others handle this. What 3rd party services are popular for these purposes? What scripting options are used to avoid the 3rd party route?

This isn't a huge list. They have about 200 addresses to date which they email a newsletter to on a monthly basis.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

If they don't have lots of subscribers and aren't looking for an auto add to a database you could look at something like Dynamic Mail Communicator. Alternatively if they want to have an auto add to a mailing list then I'm sure you'd be looking at asp or php with a database.
