Looking for a good Site Search Tool
Found some great info here but am overwhelmed with the choices.
I don't want one like Google's Site Search Tool since it only queries what their robot has indexed. I want one
1. that indexes the site itself on a weekly or monthly basis - or better yet, permits indexing "on demand", and
2. that allows me to designate the folder(s) that is/are indexed and searched.
I've used FreeFind in the past and liked it - but am looking for other suggestions to try out.
Thanks!

Thanks, demon. I'll check er out. Right now I'm test driving FreeFind and PicoSearch.
Are you using Easy Site Searcher on a site of yours?

You can try EchoSearch, it's free and works well. http://echoarticles.com/

I used it once for a client and in my opinion I liked it... I used it in a CD installer with HTML navigation... The search was very helpful since it scans files and makes searches automatically based on the manual crawl...

We use FreeFind and have had no problems at all and it seems very accurate
