Links page help?

I'm working on a niche (very small) hobby website. I want to link to other sites with the same sort of content. I'm not much concerned with SEO, I can get my site out there through other means with no problem right now (not trying to make money with the site, it's more for sharing my available webspace for downloads)

Anyway, what I'm looking for is a decent links page script, something that will arrange my links in categories (preferably more than one category each), and make it easier for folks to find other sites they want to visit according to the category.

Can anyone recommend some scripts, or even HTML or something to accomplish this? I'm using FrontPage, and I'd like to be able to pull the links script into another page as an include file, so it will fit with my site's design.

I've downloaded several scripts, and they either don't function right, or aren't what I want. Is there maybe a links plug-in available for Frontpage? (It's 2002 in case that's important)

TIA for any assistance.

If you're looking for a free one, and your host has PHP/MySQL, try http://phplinkdirectory.com. I have a hard time customizing the look of it, the syntax of that script is really confusing. If you are willing to fork out some money, I would recommend WSN Links. It is a lot easier to customize, and has tons of advanced options.

or you can try mine - it's free - http://www.indexscript.com/download.php

installation's just a button click and it's all template and css-based (so changing look and feel is a matter of changing css and template files).

Looks like a good script dbanners, did you code it all by yourself? Or was it based on some open source code? I looked at the homepage demo and I can't find a category with a few links in it, can you find one, I'd like to see what they look like. Also, do you have an admin demo?

teammatt3 - i coded it myself from scratch - started early this year and am doing it part-time as a hobby (i have a day job Sad).

unfortunately, there is no admin demo - why not just download it and try it out. also, for a page with links, check out http://www.indexscript.com/cat/151/

for free skins - check out http://www.indexskins.com - it's a matter of replacing the entire style directory - very easy...

Are you planning to enhance this or improve in the future?

And is this Open Source?

Thanks,
