legal help!
I've been checking my site statistics for http://www.movie-vault.com and found that 90% of the keywords that people use to locate my site are: pearl harbor wallpaper, girls gone wild wallpaper, etc.
Naturally I'd like to add a movie wallpaper section to my site, as I don't currently have one. This is where I am stuck - I do not know the legal copyrights that allow me to create movie wallpapers. Is it illegal to make them? I'd appreciate your input, thanks.

If you take someone else's wallpapers and use them for your site, yes, it would be illegal, but if you create your own, I cannot see how it'd be illegal.

Actually, I didn't mean editing an existing wallpaper - I meant getting a scene/frame off a movie and editing it into a wallpaper. Would that be illegal since I'm using part of the film?

I would say probably technically yes, but there are tons of people making movie wallpapers and desktop themes with no problems, so I guess the movie studios must not mind or care - it's free advertising for them right?
