i'm quite upset 'bout two things i experienced today:

1. i linked to an office document (.xls) on a html-page. when trying out the link with ie5.5 it opened the file in the browserwindow. which caused several problems 'cause the xls-file contains macros. anyway, after looking for a solution i saw this on microsoft's site. i really have to go to the NT-registry to solve it... netscape handles the file without any problem... Sad

2. i linked to a pdf-file and tried the link with ie5.5. it showed me only a small icon on the top right corner, no file. the solution from ms knowledge db. it's a configuration on the webserver. netscape has no problems opening the file... why does ie need a webserver configuration?!

i'm getting suspicious 'bout ie-behavior...

anyone ever have had similar probs?
