Ideas for file uploading?

Im making a site for school at present...

Teachers wants to have thier homeworks published to our school site...for that i want teachers to be able to upload files online and then students to download and also parents to view what homeworks thier students got

any ideas on how i can do this?

Do you have PHP on the server? I found a script that does it but it's in PHP http://www.hiqformmail.com/ I use that one. It is a little confusing but I couldn't find anything else on hotscripts fast enough.
