I want to provide free Web Hosting...
I am fairly good at web design. Me and my friends want to start a web site hosting web site. Basically like NetFirms or Angelfire or things like that. Is there a web site that you know of that has a tutorial on setting up this sort of "Web Site Community" I realize that I will probably have to use php. Do u reccomend any good php sites? Just as an idea -
It could be worth you looking at getting a reseller account with an established host.
They give you Big chunks off server space and bandwidth - you split it up and sell it on for a profit.
That would seem the easiest way to start to me.

the thing is, i do not want to be reselling them. I have looked into that. I just want to have FREE websites. I am hosting the site on a Comp that me and my friends have built.

They have a number of ready made scripts - Maybe you will find something there.

What kind of community are you talking about? I had a blogging community for over a year with each person having their own space and blog. Did you mean just a place for people to write a few things about themselves and have pictures, etc.?
