Recently someone from the Shanghai Jin Yue Network Technological Inc (SJNTI) contacted me, they we apparently representing a company called Kingsan Investment Co. Ltd (KICL) who wanted to buy the domain score-group.cn. Because Score Group is a registered trademark, they needed our approval.

I had a look on the internet and could not find any information about KICL. I also looked in SJNTI, who had only registered their website that month, this is when I started to smell fish! So to be on the safe site I registered the domain as mine.

Today I got an email from a company called Shanghai IDC Co. Ltd (IDC), they are apparently representing a company called American Gardiner Corporation (AGC), who want to register score-group.com.cn, score-group.net.cn and score-group.org.cn.

So again I looked into AGC and couldn’t find any trace, had a look at IDC website, which again was only registered this month. So I thought I would try phoning IDC and speak to “Steven”, the guy who sent me the email. When I called I was told he was on holiday and if I need to contact him, email him. Again I find this strange as he only sent the email this morning!

All the companies are saying they are based in shanghia, this makes me wonder because I have an exhibition there at the end of the year.

What’s your guys opinion on this?
