hm

open the HTML file in MS Word, save as a document

might do the trick, but you should do the "Table > Table AutoFormat"

When I try that Word just displays the code - I guess it doesn't recognize my properly coded html... or maybe I'm doing something wrong, I don't know...

Ha! That's it - have to be using IE though! Thanks Smiling

Or maybe not. Results inconsistent - works for some tables, but not others. hmmmm.......

Problem solved. Another issue with the <?xml version="1.0" encoding="iso-8859-1"?> tag being out of place. I don't know how that thing got moved, but once it was put back at the start of the document everything worked fine. I was having another problem earlier with that tag causing horizontal scrolling in IE.

Ha ha ha, I haven't heard of many people going backwards from HTML to Word. Hee.

Interesting solution! I tend to print to pdf all the time, avoiding Word as much as possible, heh.

It's because our course notes people need to prepare their print stuff as a derivative of some of our online stuff. That's the tool they know how to work with so we've got to make it as easy as posisble for them.

Well I tend to copy and paste every single cell in the table :S yeah yeah, slow and tedious but I couldn't find any other way...
How did you do it Megan? Copy and paste? That never works for me.

You just select all the table cells and copy and paste. It only works with IE though.
