how to make downloads on a site
I am a student of internet learning. I have designed the site named http://www.heavenlygardens.org. There are some books in this site which run an a punjabi font(punjabi is a indian language). One or two of the words don't work properly on the internet explorer they work well on the microsoft word, so i want that the books could be downloaded to the user but i dont know how to make the books in downloaded form. they are in frontpage form and i want them, to be downloaded into word form. So please tell me what i should do to make this happen. These books are on the link http://www.heavenlygardens.org/punjabibooks.htm
Thank you.

Hi,
I think I understand the problem? Why not just paste the books to Word and make that a .zip file? Then people can just download the .zip and see the book in Word.

If the word file is small enough you wont have to zip it. You can just point your links to your word or zip document.
Goodluck!

hey gauravvirk,
First of all, welcome to TWF!
As far as I understand your problem, I would do the following to solve it:
-Save the books as a .doc-file, (you probably have them already as a doc)
-Just link to them in the html-page like:
<a href="YourPathToTheDirectory/FileName.doc"><a href="http://www.heavenlygardens.org/index-images/download.gif" class="bb-url">http://www.heavenlygardens.org/index-images/download.gif</a></a>
'Does this solve your problem?
