How does JSP Work?

Hi guys and girls,

Just a quick question for you regarding JSP, you maybe a little shocked at this request, as I work for a web hosting company in their sales dept.

I ask our Tech guys and they give me this babble of jargon that I dont understand. You see I know how to sell things but tech stuff.... Lets put it this way I'm learning.

So if someone could please give me an explanation in terms that I can understand.
