How did they achieve that?

If you go to this link http://askmen.com/jokes/2005_may/may05.html you will see two hyperlinked words one is "woman" the other is "friend". Somehow they were able to make the words pop up an advertisement for a dating site when you pass the cursor over the word "woman" or "friend". Do you know how they achieved that Hyperlink. Can anyone help me since I do not have time to think hard enough about how to achieve that.

it's called intellitext and it's from VibrantMedia.

You also find it's top of most peoples "annoying things on websites" list
