Welcome to TWF Smiling

You site appears to be offline at the moment, can you let us know when it is online and also tell us where the code is located that they provide for the counter. We really do need more information to be able to help you.

um the site westgippybmx.web1000.com should be online now. and about the script i dont actually understand what script is. do i have to eneter it into my html or something... and on that note i dont know what the script for it is. web 1000 just told me to upload a hits.txt file on their server in a cgistor/counter folder.

Any help would be appreiceated.

Thanks in advance

Anyway, you most likely need to upload a blank file and CHMOD it properly, then it will be able to use the hit counter you have embedded (theoretically) on your pages.

i know westgippybmx.web1000.com/cgistor/counter.pl works but it only seems to work when someone actually goes to the westgippybmx.web1000.com/cgistor/counter.pl page, not when they go to my site.

Try this instead of the webbot code you have now:

<img src="http://www.westgippybmx.web1000.com/cgistor/counter.pl">'

It works on a test page I made locally, should work for you.

I don't know what instructions your host provided regarding embedding within the page, so I can't say how to format/manipulate the output. If all else fails, try contacting your host. Smiling

Something odd with your urls as http://www.westgippybmx.web1000.com just redirects to web1000.com and westgippybmx.web1000.com/cgistor/counter.pl tries to download something onto my pc!

I get the redirect and the download as well, your server has things set up wrong and is redirecting some browsers. You need to have that fixed.

Dude, you have a problem with mime types on your server, which is why it won't work with some browsers. Additionally, reduce those images! You have tiny images that weigh 276KB! They take forever to load on DSL. Yikes.
