Guestbooks

Hi y'all. I've searched the archives for this but didn't find too much. I'm looking to add a Guestbook for my website. For years I've used Bravenet and I was happy with it's functionality, but it was butt-ugly. Plus, I don't want to use a 3rd-party service anymore, siply because I want full control over it's appearance (headers and footers). Of the hundreds listed at script websites, can anybody recommend some good, free, simple guestbook scripts? I've got php and mySQL but those aren't necessarily requirements. I'm just looking for something that's free, that I host myself, and looks slick.

Laughing out loud Thanks

P.S. In the archives, somebody recommended something called dreambook, but dreambook.com seems to be out of commission so I can't check it out.

that was me who suggested dreambook, was a great book too.

Check out hotscripts.com
and php and mysql are requirments if you want to host your own as you have to write and read to/from the database (or flatfile which most host dont allow) for your guest book to work.
The script alone wont make your page 'slick', you have to do that, the script just displays the data
