Ho long has your site been up? It will take time for Google to index. That's just natural. Is it a brand new site?

In order to increase the speed of indexing you need to get better quality links than that. All of those methods are low quality. I see you have a toolbar PR of 3 - I'd guess that you'd need to get up to 6 or 7 or higher to get the kind of index rates you're after.

finfirma,

You seem to have done a lot of work but not yet mentioned sitemaps. Old fashioned? yes, but they do help with indexing. Be sure to submit your up to date yahoo and google xml sitemap.

Speaking of sitemaps---

I am the backend guy for 4 related ratings sites. They share one database and much of the code. However, membership at each site is unique (a separate login for each site).

I have noticed, however, that all sites will generate profile pages for each member's user_id number in the URL, however, while they display the identical text, only the site where the user has registered is the "real" profile with photos etc.

I didn't build it, I just maintain & fix it now... thinking, now, that the solution might be in the site code, to test for the existence of the profile photo(s) and if not to redirect to the correct site's profile page...

There are approximately 40,000 members across all 4 sites.

I am nervous to generate & submit automatic sitemaps, because they will include many sets of "false" profiles with identical content.

Does anybody know a sitemap generator that will test, for example, if the profile image is present and discard the others?

decibel.places: I think the only way you're going to truly get around that problem is by stopping the software on the seperate sites from creating profile pages for users that arent' registered there.

You could get an existing site maps script and edit it to check for a profile picture. However, that sounds like a kludge to me. Smiling

I had a similar problem on a Joomla Calendar component which would create pages for every day of the week from now 'til ...well infinite. In the end I just blocked the whole section using robots.txt

is your content unique? if not you will need to work harder at targeting more internal pages and improving your link structure
