Good newsletter software ?
Hey all,
I am sussing out software for managing and sending newsletters. It must have the facility to track click throughs etc to track success of advertisements. What do you suggest ?
I have found a package that looks really good but I'm not completely confident of the payment process and they don't give any contact details besides email. The site is http://ulices.com/ Please give me your impressions. The software looks good.
The other option is topica.com . They have introduced some expanded services that do what I want but it's not so cheap anymore. Seeems cheaper to buy software. They seem to have gone a bit commercial too and ad happy. Any opinions on what Topica is doing these days ?
Cheers,
Blue

I'm a Topica user, pretty happy, but a little disappointed in some of their policies. Mainly, when they took the option to manually add subscribers for free away. But they still apparently do not require ads in their newsletters, besides the unsubscription note at the bottom.
As for other alternatives: http://www.hotscripts.com/Perl/Scripts_and_Programs/Mailing_List_Managers
I have heard great things about SparkList and Lyris, so check those out.

So many to research ! Well I guess that's a good thing. Thanks for link.
I didn't know Topica took the option to manually add subscribers for free away. I have a list set up but I haven't used it yet. I think their arrangement with advertising in lists is that new lists (created after the changes) do require ads but previously created lists still have an the option. Disappointing all the same.
I looked at the Sparklist and Lyris pages. They seem to be about 10 times more expensive than others I've looked at.

If you would still like to purchase newsletter software, I recommend PG Newsletter. People I know are happy with it.
