Getting the most out of adsense
Hi there,
I was wondering if anyone had any hints and tips to get high click-thru-rates on Google adsense ads. I've spent some time on the subject and believe there's a case for integrating the ads into the style and design of the site as much as possible.
It has also been recommended to me to have individual text ads position directly below small images. This makes the ad look more integrated into the site and to be treated more like a navigation link and thus providing higher CTR.
Any other hints and tips?

I'm not clued up on the ins and outs of adsense, but a friend of mine is.

A lot is from his own findings and experience, and even if you disagree with some of it, it's interesting to read.

Surely, if you want to treat your ads like a navigational link, you are going along the lines of in-text ads.
I don't think it's right to be trying to "confuse" your site's users into thinking they are clicking on a navigational link, where in fact it is an advertisement.
Here is an article on just this issue:

I tend to find that by asking this question that yoy may not have thought it through well and have not read The Terms and Conditions of Google Adsense when you signed up.
By the sounds of things, you are trying to find a way to mislead your visitors into getting more clicks and more money.
YES... that is a good idea but it is also against all T's & C's of Google Adsense.
My suggestion would be that you can keep writing content on a daily basis and write something that you can promote well through social bookmarking websites and forums to help gain you some traffic and then with traffic there is more chance of clicks.
That is how i believe it should work.

Adsense CTR is affected primarily by color and placement. I followed the tips before that I need to put it in my contents to get the highest CTR. But the placement annoyed me as my first paragraph will wrap the ads. Consider first the experience of your visitors, income will follow.
