Ok I was given this URL from a contact and I'm going to need some info. What I need to know is do you guys support public and private forums or just public. My next questions will need to be done based on email since they deal with the issues of security. So, if you could reply here or send me an Email that would be great.

Now for a little about myself: My name is David and I'm the Art Director/Webmaster/Lead Artist/Lead Designer for Dragon Media, a small (read: three guys and a cat) game development company out of Seattle. It's my job to get us a forum, web site, email addresses, and cups of Starbucks until we get the office finished and a server running (read: 4 to 6 months).

Anyway any help I could get from anyone on this issue would be great. Thanks.

if i understand you right, you're looking for a forum software?
when you're interested in the software, this forum is running with, you'd better try their homepage: vbulletin.
i'm not sure, if vbulletin is free?
free for sure is ikonboard, a perl-based-forum-software.

Personal opinion is that Vbulletin is light years ahead of Ikonboard. Vbulletin does cost money although it does have a free lite version. You can have a leased license for a year for $85 or own it for $160. It's worth every penny.
