Filtering code??
In the examples that were provided in the thread on changing the Opacity of an image or layer in either IE or mozilla, what are some of the functions you can do using the filter option.
I have also seen this with a dropshadow on standard text.
Thanks
bryan

Thats a nice little page microsoft has set up. Thanks Disaster, that is exactly what I was looking for.
Now.. if only Netscape and Opera could hook onto the concept, then they would be very powerful tools.

Netscape supports its own set.

Also, MS's proprietary css extensions don't work for mac browsers at all. The page won't even render for N7/mac and doesn't work in IE/mac.
When using proprietary (non-standard) coding, please make sure the page will function in other browsers.

originial thread (Setting Opacity in layers/CSS)...
I believe the MS filters only work on Windows because it relies on DirectX (I could be wrong).
I managed to create a CSS based menu that used both IE's and Mozilla's proprietary tags to some effect. It was an Windows XP styled menu with opacity on the icons where the hover returned the opacity to 100%.
Regarding the IE filters, I ran into some weird behaviors in where they would not work else width was explicitly set to 100%.
