Hey i was wondering how i would make it so i could go to a url and edit the news on my site, ive seen it done before. I think it involves a backdoor of somekind. I want to do this because i dont want to have to keep going into photoshop every time i want to edit news. Any other methods would also be greatly appreciated. Thanks

You can use anything from the complex PHP Nuke to something simpler like some sort of blogging software similar to bBlog. Those are each a CMS, or Content Management System.

A good site to check out is http://www.opensourcecms.com/ They have info on PHP Nuke and bBlog, among others.

Glad to be of service. Smiling I've used bBlog with a custom no-frills front-end in the past. It's worked out pretty well.

I guess you found what you want, but if you're looking for a smaller, easier news updater (no comments), I can give you the code to the one I use on my site. It's completely hand-coded with PHP and MySQL. I'm releasing it very soon to the public, but if you need something soon, I could package it up for you. Wink

I will most certainly post GX News in this thread. It should be released this weekend at the latest, but I'm not promising anything. Smiling
