Can you guys help me with some ideas for my site Learn Dreamweaver? My site hosts video tutorials that help you learn how to use Dreamweaver. The problem I'm having though is... what videos should I make? What would you guys like to see? What kinds of problems do you have with Dreamweaver? Thanks in advance!

What about expanding on the site setup to run commands on an entire site? How to validate, search/replace etc. across an entire site. Actually, you could just show those checks and the three different ways to run them (current document, selected files, entire site).

One big thing, that's even bigger in DW with the new version, is designing with CSS. You may not necessarily want to get into layout with CSS, but at least how to use it, how it should be used, how it works, issues to be aware of etc. I found that my co-workers caught on to this suprisingly well.

Another thing a lot of people would be interested in is how to do simple javascript effects, like rollovers. Forms would be another topic to cover.

I think you should try to target this more to people who don't have a whole lot of web knoweldge. People like us could probably figure most of it out, but your typical office staff person who's trying to update the company website probably couldn't.

How about explaining how to use the gallery feature in dreamweaver...

Another one would be showing people how to use the database integration and scripting functions built in to dreamweaver.

Thanks for the ideas guys. These are great. I really like the CSS idea. You're right, the site should be geared to those who are fairly new to Dreamweaver. Megan and Andy, thanks again and keep the suggestions coming!

Take a look at the Dreamweaver help files...If you find anything you think they haven't covered very well the chances are other people are having the same problem.

If you have the time you could also create a "Black Belt" Dreamweaver side to the site with advanced tips/techniques, the bigger your site gets the better your chances of coming up under a Google search become.

I have always had a hard time finding any good tutorials for templates. There is a lot of power in the templates but it's very limited help in DW.
