Delay in site becoming active (viewable)

Hello,

I have a few shared hosting reseller accounts and recently contracted for another one (I'm just dabbling with hosting and I provide some friends with hosting for their domains). In the past, when I registered a domain name and set up the space on a server, the domain became active (viewable) within minutes. However with this new provider, it takes hours, even as long as a day, before the domain becomes active.

I use the same Registrar and when I check using a couple of whois programs, the information is all there and correct, including the nameservers, and, again, shows up within minutes.

So why does it take so very much longer with this provider than with the others?

I ran my master reseller account domain name through DNSReports, dnsreport.com/tools/dnsreport.ch?domain=d1b4.com and it came up with a number of "failures" and "warnings" but since I'm not familiar with the server end of things, I don't understand what these mean.

I'm hoping someone can shed some light on what the report is saying and maybe give me some idea as to what takes place when a domain is registered or a change of nameservers is made.

Thanks in advance for any information that would help me understand this.

I think they probly dont update their dns as often. Even though you go thru the same dns registry, the web provider has to update their records too. Hopefully they dont do it manually!
