I would like to make a website to display and sell website layouts. I would like a content management system that can display a thumbnail page of layouts with brief information underneath, then when you click on the thumbnail it goes to a full page with details and pricing information. I am competent at web design and site management, but not good enough to make the content management myself! Is there any software/system any of you would reccomend for this? I know it can be done cos other layout sites have decent content management. I appreciate your help.Wink

For CMS, you can try Joomla.
If you are looking for an ecommerce solution, you can try OsCommerce.
Both are free scripts.
Best of luck.

For online sales I would suggest oscommerce. It's Free (as in Freedom - Open Source), so you can do what you want with it.

OSCommerce will handle the things you've mentioned, it doesn't take long to install a default oscommerce. The time investment is in customising it to look good. Smiling

For a pure CMS I would suggest: Drupal. There is also an ecommerce project for Drupal that may fit your needs http://drupal.org/project/ecommerce
So with Drupal you'll get ecommerce and cms in-one. Given the choice, I would select Drupal. Smiling
