I am looking for webmaster's who are Christians - not necessarily webmasters of Christian website, but Christians that design, develop and manage websites.
Now if your question is in regard to expounding on Christian - an individual that believe ON the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal savior.
I'm not looking for debates - but for resources and mentors.
Judging by their homepage, I'm assuming that OP is setting this requirement because this is their own faith background, and they don't want to hire someone that works on porn sites, etc.
...which is understandable. I refuse projects like the ones OP lists. I worked on a dating site once, and some of those profiles makes me wish I hadn't.
This could be a good poll: "Do you work on sites that you find offensive?" I don't.
I myself and Christian and a webmaster (mainly a back-end programmer). I also am on a couple other forums that are Christian based for webmasters, as well as enjoy checking out church websites to get inspiration on designing a church site.
As this topic will no doubt spark debates on the issues to why (as already seen in replies), and the poster specifically just wanted to get to know people without debating the issue, I have created the following thread on the topic for people to discuss:
I ask that in order to keep this thread from going off topic, use the other threads for discussing the Pros/Cons of doing things faith based or anything else not related to answering the original topic of this thread.
I went looking for a Christian webmaster also. I reviewed several comments and found the responses ridiculous. Christian-based has nothing to do with Catholic, Baptist, etc., that would be 'denomination-based....those who are looking for Christian-based are probably referring to the fact that want someone with 'ethics', honesty, aren't going to necessarily rip you off. I not only work for my church as their Business/Finance Mgr. but also do IT/websites etc. However, a friend of mine who wanted to hire me has a christian-based business, he was literally ripped off by his last webmaster and now is gun shy. He has a huge internet business. What he needs to have done is more than I could handle right now, so I'm doing some research to same him some valuable time. All that being said, recommendations for someone(s) who really has true religious and business ethics would be nice. I hope this added some clarity...I really don't like it when responses come back that are more challenging (beat around the bush) than the questions that were asked. Being Christian is not 'far-fetched' but it does seem to confuse or maybe challenge those who have limited exposure...ergo the responses. Thank you for whatever assistance you may offer. CESJ

Okay well that's still rather broad...
Christianity has many different sects...Catholic, Congregationalist, Methodist, Episcopalian, Baptist, Mormon etc. etc. etc. etc.....
Are you looking for one *sect* of Christianity per say???

Can we ask why this webmaster has to be Christian? Just curious. I've never heard of anything like that before...
