Bundled Software Legality

I won a copy of Dreamweaver off eBay for a pretty good price, through my business. As it's a business, I have to be extra careful to make sure all my software is legal.

Anyway, when I got the disk, it said "Bundle Software" on the CD. Is this still legal for me to use?

Errrm. probably legal for you to use, but definately not legal to sell. You should report the seller a) To ebay and b) to Macromedia/Adobe

The seller actually got banned from eBay after I won the auction.

Okay, over the weekend a second copy of Dreamweaver showed up from the same seller. And it has the same product key! Shouldn't all of those be different?

I think it's not uncommon for people to be selling priated copies of CD's online. Does the CD show any signs of copying? Did it come with any legitimate documentation?

I'd say its pirated.

I would suggest telling Ebay anyway and notifying adobe about the sale. I would ask them if you could get a free copy. you never know.

I have Macromedia Studio MX 2004 , and on both you have to activate it with the serial number, and can only be actiated on two computers. When we used it where I used to work, I could not activate it on a third until I selected "Transfer license" on one of the first two systems. It lets me do this back and forth as often as I want, and stays isntalled on the systems, just only "active" on two at a time. (and you always need internet connection activeate and transfer)

NOTE: This was *NOT* done for eliminating multiple purchases, I needed a copy on my laptop to take home, mydesktop, and the desktop system of our graphic artist becasue I used her system at times because only her's had the adobe studio installed on it.

Sounds dodgy to me. Sad You should report that seller, in related news: Microsoft targets auctioneers of pirated software. So, it would be logical for that person to be banned, especially if they're peddling stolen Microsoft software on that site too.
