Bulk Emailer
Hi
I'm organising a conference and want to send a personalised email to about 500 delegates (importing the info from excel).
I want to do this from work (large organisation/networked etc..).
Can anyone recommend some good bulk email software that will allow me to do this? This will be a one-off so I would prefer not to spend much, if anything.
The SMTP thang confuses me - what does this mean and how does this impact on me trying to send a bulk email from work? Will I have to reconfigure my email account? Would really prefer not to have to go near this.
Thanks for any help

I'd recommend GroupMail Pro from www.infacta.com . Excellent product.
If you're looking for very large bulk mail, avoid their higher end "Plus" version as the bulk mailer backend just doesn't work. Instead get Advanced Mail Redirector from www.mailutilities.com . That's the combination I've been using for about a year.
But for 500-1000 e-mails the Plus version is perfect.

I am using G-Lock EasyMail (http://www.glocksoft.com/em/) to send my emails out. This software generates a personalized email for each recipient and keeps the email list private and secure. I highly recommend that you try it out. Nice piece of email program.

That way, dove can just run a small PHP loop to email...
