Boogity-woogity!

Man. I sure hope this goes in this forum because I will be lost trying to find it tomorrow if a mod moves it.

Anywho, I have been working for a total of about 5 hours (at least) just today on this new website. I am completely coding all of the template and PHP/MySQL, which I have never really done before. It is a website that should be able to have a large user base, and I am needed to create the login system and everything, which has been a pain in the butt, not to mention the cheap (well, free) hosting I am using to build the site because it is in PHP. The thing is, the file manager doesn't work right all the time so you could accidentally edit a file but it will save it under a different file name, overwriting a different file. I had just finished the log out page, and I saved it and it overwrote the login page, so I just finished rewriting it. No, I haven't made backups. Are you nuts? I'm actually getting ready to.

Anywho, I'm not even near finished and I'm thinking of redoing the whole template. Anyone had a webmaster experience like this?
