Best serverside mailing-list script?
Hi --
I am looking for recommendations of "the best" mailing-list management script. If this post is in the wrong place please feel free to move it. I've been looking so long and trying so many I'm seriously going insane hehe. Hoping for one based on PHP/mySQL (CGI/Perl would be ok, though if so I will need someone to help me get the dbd::mysql perl module working on my server if the script requires that - I have a dedicated server from rackshack.net - redhat 7.1 with plesk).
Here's the main features I need...
Fast, no timeouts even on huge lists, multiple list support, personalization, import my current list including emails AND names, list export options, unsubscribe link in mailings, log subscription date/ip, text/html, double opt-in option, sub/unsub statistics.
Some optional features (not necessary but would be nice) would be subscribing to multiple lists at once, bounce tracking, mime types, archiving mailings, etc).
I currently have about 6000 subscribers (email and firstname stored), and plan on growing and not stopping there. I don't really trust plaintext-databases - but if you can assure me that it's alright, please do. Otherwise - mysql is for me hehe. I'm guessing something with all these features may not be possible for free (though heh you never know, I've seen some downright amazing things for free)... so I'm willing to spend a bit, but hopefully no more than $100 or so (more only if necessary).
Thanks - hope someone can point me in the right direction.

Let me say that I use PowerList to host my list of opt-in subscribers. I won't go into detail about it because it isn't incredibly powerful, although solid, and doesn't meet all your requirements.
I'd take a look at these:

I've heard good things about SparkList and Lyris, as well - but those come with hefty fees. I don't know if you'll find a free script capable of double opt-in and some of the other features you requested, so you may have to settle with something like PowerList for free.

I have been looking forever as well and have already gone insane from looking
Here are a couple of interesting ones. One is free the other has a small fee. I haven;t used them yet so I can't recommend, but worth a look.
