Ok, I'm probably needing to be patient but I've been sitting here all day looking around because I just really want to try a dating site cause I'm reading that it's a great, easy way to make at least 5 extra grand a month.
I'm thinking of doing an adult site because that seems to be the way to go. Can anybody advise me on this? And I found some software at http://www.etown21.com I may be even willing to buy since it's under 100 bucks; but I'm kind of tied between wanting to jump in and do it and being afraid to spend money on something that won't work.
Anybody familiar with that company? I'd appreciate any feedback about dating sites and if they're worth it, and if anyone is familiar with that company to tell me if it's safe to buy from them?
I'm kind of excited to start my own internet business.

I don't want to be a pesimist but I guess I am. I'd think twice before doing anything like that. Those kinds of sites are popular and do make money, but several factors will make it nearly impossible for you to make a dime at it.
1) The market is completely overflowing with major players. Unless you find a small niche market then you'll jut never even get noticed or be able to afford equivilent marketing.
2) It would be very hard to get started without a huge amount of capital and major marketing partners. The reason is that you'll need a ton of names already in the systemn in order for new people to want to register. Plus the big guys have agreements with partners that can get them lots of new names. I work at a television station and our website has a dating section but it really just goes to date.com.
If you've got some niche market to target than go ahead and try but otherwise you're taking on many goliaths and you don't even have a slingshot. Sorry.
