Anyone grok 'blank-IGNORE.html'?
Looking at my logs and am getting:
[Fri Feb 7 05:03:25 2003] [error] [client xx.xx.xx.xxx] File does not exist: /xxx/xxxxx/xxx/xxxxx/xxxxx/xxxx-xxxxx.org/httpdocs/blank-IGNORE.html
Most files I can find in Google (favicon.ico, robots.txt) but 'blank-IGNORE.html' only brings up references to 1k pages on other sites named 'blank-IGNORE.html' which brings up (duh!) a blank page.
While not terribly concerned, does anyone know what bot/spider/etc., is looking for this file? Does anyone know if this file would have been generated by some HTML generating software?
Any information appreciated. Thanks in advance. bob

From looking at the results, it seems that blank-IGNORE.html is some sort of Microsoft invention. Further investigation reveals it shows up often in framed sites. I think that these framed sites are generated with FrontPage.
Now why a spider would be looking for this, I have *no* idea.

Thanks Suzanne! Like I said, I'm not too terribly concerned, more curious than anything else. Especially when nothing but blank pages show up on Google.
I guess this page is the Jerry Seinfeld page, the page about nothing!

Nah, just another reason, why M$ products are also known as bloatware...too much useless functions...
