Announcement: new website
Well, I posted one post hinted about this so here goes.
Basically I am going to create a new website and it is going to be the best one I have ever made by far. I am creating it for ChildNet Academy .
Basically it is going to be a massive forum called by kids 4 kids (bk4k). Now, I have until december till my site has to be ready, and as I'm fairly new to all of this i am requesting your help in themes, promotion, etc and general stuff like that. I am really excited about this and i hope that you guys will be able to help out your old HJC.

I really like what you've got going here so far! Looks sweet! I'm kinda jelous here.
You weren't kidding that this is going to be a big project. ASP, power point presentations, random links, forums.... Jeez... glad I'm not having to build it.
Are you going to be asking for scripting help or design help... or both?
Quite cool so far! I'll be watching what you do with this one.
Have a ball with it!
*Edit... oops just noticed...
Are you designing a new forum to go along with this design that's already there? (Need more coffee)
gotta finish redesigning my sites so I can show them again.

That was my mistake. I saw the site that you had linked to and thought you ment you were designing the whole thing.
Hey... I can make mistakes too... just don't tell anyone...
Yes, PHPNuke or PhBB would be the way to go. I'd personally go with the BB board but that's just me.
Keep us updated on how it's going!

There isn't a place where not-for-profit charity things can get special things is there?
What's the link for BB Board?

I'm not sure but I think you get different benefits for being NFP depending on where you're located. There are special requirements to being NFP though. Take a look at this http://www.clmp.org/resources/overview.html
You can get phpbb at http://www.phpbb.com/

No, I meant certain sites that will only give stuff to not-for-profit site.
If anyone wants to help me with this (it is allowed) then e-mail me.

phpBB is basically free. It's an open-source project releasing its code under the GNU Public License (GPL). Ideal for not-for-profit projects.
Particularly to your question, no, I can't think of any sites that give specially to not-for-profit projects.

phpBB is the best, from what I've heard.
And no, I haven't heard of any sites that give away things to NFP organisations. I can't imagine you'd need anything like that anyway, and if you do it would probably be a good idea to just e-mail them and ask... You'll never know unless you ask!

I think so. Give it a try... there's nothing to lose. It's a mature product, with detailed documentation.
