came across Acronym Finder which has apparrently been around 10 years

It was cited in a response to a vague question on LinkedIn: "What is SIF?"

SIF is...

Anyway, a useful tool when developing an acronym for your company / product / website etc.

Agreed.

FWIW - I have long since added Acronym Finder to the search engines in Opera-- or was it always there? Anyway, I can highlight and right-click on any initialism on a page to look it up. Very handy.

Don't know if other browsers have this ability.
