age verifier

I helped a designer colleague with a high-end liquor site

Apparrently they are required to have users verify that they are legal drinking age (21+)

Of course, this doesn't prove anything... but it meets some legal requirements that the user avers they are above a certain age.

I found a javascript front end and added some additional php

the javascript I found on HotScripts worked pretty well - except it got the current month wrong by 1 - so that's fixed here

I let the fellow know I fixed his script and he demanded that I remove his code from my package... I even paid him $1.99 on his site, but never received the download (I obtained the script the "old fashioned way" - by viewing a demo...) He had no license in his code or on his site. I tried to educate him about Creative Commons and GPL but he was adamant...

Herewith, a rewritten and greatly improved package, works with cookies on or off, just one js file to include on all pages... sweet & easy
(note - the "cookie-free" version will only verify on the landing page - you need cookies to add verification to the other pages)
