Again, probably not possible. Your bandwidth and space is low, but the RAM and the Processor is high, therefore bringing the price up.

Check the following links:
BurstNET (www.burst.net
DigitalNation (www.dn.net)
Sarasota Web Net: (www.sarasotaweb.net)

Note that you MAY want to try Sarasota Web Net. They offer a server for cheap, but no one I know has one of those. Try contacting them regarding one of there dedicated servers.

Again, if you need anymore help, feel free to ICQ me, like usual.

i want a dedicated server with (at least):
-6GB hard drive space
-10GB bandwidth monthly
-5 ips
-128MB ram
-P3 500mhz

Also i would like the following, it is okay if these cost more per month to add etc:
-choice to add more hard drives/space
-choice to add more bandwidth
-choice to add more ips
-choice to add more ram

i can only pay up to $200 monthly for the base part of it (the first list) but preferably nearer to $100, please tell me of anyplace you can think of!!

By the look of your bandwidth, I do not think you need a P3 500. IMHO even a P1 200 will work as a nice webserver. High speed Ram and large bandwidth is what make a server go fast IMHO.

I agree with everyone about the system specifications. Unless you’re planning on hosting 250 virtual accounts or some huge backend application a PIII 500 is really over doing it. I’d look for a PII/AMD 400Mhz server; it will save you a lot monthly/setup.

If you plan on hosting some good size programs or 3rd part applications (Real Audio server etc) upgrade your RAM, 96-128MB will perform much better. However 64 will still run dynamite on a Linux system.

I’d be more concerned with (1) will they install and upgrade software for you, such as PHP, Perl, mySQL, or can you do it? (2) What do they charge for bandwidth, I’ve seen dedicated servers that charge $125 for every 50GB or so, if you’re a small company you want a host that charges by the GB. (3) What about technical support? I’d want someone available 24/7 with relatively cheap prices per call.

Good luck, I hope you find a host that works out for you. And by all means, let us know whom you decide on.
